The *Yamaha PSR-620* is an older model from Yamaha’s PSR (PortaSound) line. It’s **not** one of the most recent releases in the PSR/PSR-SX families. ([usa.yamaha.com](https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/2/317592/PSR620E.pdf?utm_source=openai))

Here’s how it compares to newer Yamaha models, especially the PSR-SX series, and what “similar” might mean in terms of functionality and age:

---

## 🔍 What’s the PSR-620

- It’s a vintage PortaTone® keyboard with basic arranger features. It includes fairly simple voice sets, backing styles, 100 accompaniment rhythms, etc. ([usa.yamaha.com](https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/2/317592/PSR620E.pdf?utm_source=openai))
- It lacks modern features like Bluetooth, live control knobs, joystick, massive voice/style banks, etc. ([usa.yamaha.com](https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/2/317592/PSR620E.pdf?utm_source=openai))

---

## ✨ What’s Newer / More Advanced: PSR-SX620 & More

The latest in the PSR / PSR-SX lineup bring **significant** upgrades over the old PSR-620:

- **PSR-SX620** (released in mid-2026) is a completely modern arranger workstation. It comes with *1,000+ Voices* and *450 Styles*, clean layout, live control knobs, joystick, Bluetooth audio, improved speaker design, and more. ([usa.yamaha.com](https://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/keyboards/arranger_workstations/psr-sx620/index.html?utm_source=openai))
- Other newer models include the PSR-SX720+, PSR-SX920, PSR-SX700, etc., which belong to the same modern generation of arranger workstations. ([usa.yamaha.com](https://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/keyboards/arranger_workstations/psr-sx720plus/index.html?utm_source=openai))

---

## ✅ So, Is PSR-620 the Latest?

No, the PSR-620 is *not* the latest. It’s an older model, and Yamaha has released far more advanced keyboards since then. If you’re comparing to “similar” — it depends on what you mean:

- If by “similar” you mean “arranger keyboard,” then **yes**, there are newer ones with the same basic function but much more advanced tech (like PSR-SX620).
- If by “similar” you mean something with the same feature-set *and* vintage look/sound, not exactly — newer models have far richer capabilities.

---

If you tell me your budget, how many keys you want, or special features (weighted keys, Bluetooth, etc.), I can suggest a few current Yamaha models that are close in spirit to what the PSR-620 _was_, but up-to-date."
