Here’s the deal with **Kindle Points / Kindle Rewards** on Amazon—what they *are*, how you earn them, and most importantly, how to use them.

---

### What are Kindle Points?

- They’re part of Amazon’s Kindle Rewards program (formerly in beta), now available to most Amazon U.S. accounts. ([blog.the-ebook-reader.com](https://blog.the-ebook-reader.com/2025/05/14/kindle-rewards-program-now-open-for-all-us-accounts/?utm_source=openai))
- When you buy eligible items—especially Kindle ebooks—you earn points based on how much you spend. Specifically: **3 points per dollar** on Kindle ebooks and fewer points on print books or when there are special bonus days. ([blog.the-ebook-reader.com](https://blog.the-ebook-reader.com/2025/05/14/kindle-rewards-program-now-open-for-all-us-accounts/?utm_source=openai))

---

### How to redeem them

- **Threshold**: You need **at least 300 points** before you can redeem. ([amazonforum.com](https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D5Kf00003WEtM5KAL/kindle-rewards?language=en_US&utm_source=openai))
- **Value**: Once you redeem 300 points, Amazon gives you a **$3 credit** toward your next eligible Kindle ebook. ([amazonforum.com](https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D5Kf00003VLFyzKAH/redeeming-kindle-rewards?language=en_US&utm_source=openai))
- You can redeem as many 300-point bundles as you have—e.g., 600 points = $6 credit, etc. ([amazonforum.com](https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D56Q0000BpLhXHSQ0/kindle-rewards-message?utm_source=openai))

---

### How to use the rewards / apply them

- On the **product page** of an eligible Kindle ebook, you should see a checkbox like: “Redeem 300 points for $3 reward” near the “Buy Now / Buy with 1-Click” button. Tick this to apply the credit. ([amazonforum.com](https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D5Kf00003WEtM5KAL/kindle-rewards?language=en_US&utm_source=openai))
- If you don’t see that checkbox:
 - Make sure you're browsing on **Amazon’s main website** (not always in apps) ([amazonforum.com](https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D5at00000UdtQKCAZ/kindle-points-retrival?utm_source=openai))
 - The book must be **eligible** (not all books accept point redemption) ([amazonforum.com](https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D5Kf00003VLFyzKAH/redeeming-kindle-rewards?language=en_US&utm_source=openai))
 - If a book costs less than $7 and you have digital credits (like from Amazon’s “no-rush” promos) covering the price, the checkbox may *not* appear. ([reddit.com](https://www.reddit.com/r/kindle/comments/1rpm8t9/kindle_rewards_points_redemption_glitch_solution/?utm_source=openai))

---

### Expiration & Limitations

- **Points expiration**: Points expire **3 months** after they’re earned if they're not redeemed. ([amazonforum.com](https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D5Kf00003WEtM5KAL/kindle-rewards?language=en_US&utm_source=openai))
- **Credit expiration**: Once you redeem your points, the credit (e.g. $3) must be used within **30 days**. ([reddit.com](https://www.reddit.com/r/kindle/comments/168lqed?utm_source=openai))
- Cannot use the points to buy **everything**—eligible only for Kindle ebooks (no textbooks, audiobooks, magazines, etc.). ([justkindlebooks.com](https://www.justkindlebooks.com/article_jkb/what-is-the-kindle-rewards-program/?utm_source=openai))

---

If you want, I can walk you through checking your current points, seeing what books are eligible in your country, or even help you use the credit to buy something. Do you want me to pull that up for you?"
