The final piece\u2014the lectern\u2014should arrive in the next few months. Because it is made to order from the Branch supplier, there is usually an 8\u201310 month turnaround on such orders.\n\nThe design team's work for the front auditorium is now complete, and their effort is greatly appreciated. At the same time, the design team has been pricing additional furniture and furnishings (such as artwork) to match the more modern aesthetic already established by the new stage furniture.\n\nThe Op Com has reviewed the estimated costs and other practical concerns for these new items. It appears the total will exceed the Operating Committee\u2019s available funds and the standing spending cap imposed by the Bodies for non-routine expenses. The estimated cost is approximately $4,500.\n\nSo far, the Op Com has not requested funds from the three congregations for the new stage furnishings because a generous donation covered the cost of the lectern, and the Op Com was able to absorb the remainder of the cost for the chairs and table.\n\nThe proposed new furniture and artwork\u2014primarily for the lobby\u2014would match the modern look of the stage furniture, using similar wood stains and upholstery to complement the existing color palette of the rooms in question.\n\nIf the Bodies approve, we can draft a resolution allocating the costs across the three congregations.
